Silhouette goes Hollywood
Eyewear for making a glamorous appearance in the Academy Awards Style Lounge
Los Angeles / Linz, 7 March 2010. The numerous parties and receptions for the Academy Awards – the Oscars – in Los Angeles are centred on glamour. Stars and starlets and their stylists and managers are on the hunt for the perfect outfit and accessories in order to make an unrivalled appearance. There were numerous US-stars at the Academy Awards Style Lounge in Los Angeles on Saturday, 6 March 2010 who made the decision to wear Silhouette shades, which are 80% made by hand in Austria. There was a preview of the newest rimless sunglasses as well as sightings of classics, which are considered to be must-haves not only in Hollywood.
Quinton Aaron, the actor from “The Blind Side” (co-lead Sandra Bullock was awarded the Oscar for best actress), sported the classic Titan Minimal Art pilot sunglasses, while it-girl Tila Tequila – whose fiancée, the Johnson & Johnson heiress Casey Johnson, died just a few weeks ago – decided to go for the glamorous “Dreamwings Model” after taking her time trying on several models.
Michael Madsen (James Bond, Thelma & Louise, Free Willy 2, among others) is considered to be one of the busiest actors in Hollywood. He came to the Academy Awards Style Lounge with his wife, who recommended he wear the Titan Minimal Art pilot sunglasses.
Grey’s Anatomy star Sara Ramirez was excited about the ornamental “Dreamwings Shield Eyewear” and posed with Aaron Spelling’s widow, Candy, who chose a somewhat smaller model from the same series in the flattering colour apricot.
